The Jewish boxer, Isaac Berezinski, was released yesterday when a medical diagnosis established that a defeated opponent, Czeslaw Sdaniewicz, who died on Sunday, following a match, had succumbed to heart failure.

The death of Sdaniewicz has created considerable tension in Bialystock. Yesterday fears were entertained that the funeral services for the Polish boxer would be followed by attacks on the Jews. Jewish stores remained closed during the services while police detachments accompanied the funeral procession as a precautionary measure.
