Eight Jewish students in the philosophic department of the University of Lemberg were suddenly placed under arrest yesterday. No reason was given for the action of the authorities.

The Jewish philosophy students have recently incurred the ire of the rector of Lemberg University because of a sharp resolution of protest against the anti-Semitic riots adopted by them. It is believed that yesterday’s arrests have some connection with this.
