Release Three Jews Arrested During Czernowitz Attacks

Roosevelt Lodge No. 844, Order of B’nai Brith, Superior, Wisconsin, has elected the following officers to serve for the coming year: Cassel Marcus, president; Bernard Cohen, vice-president; David Siegel, secretary and Edward Lasky, treasurer.

Three Jewish students arrested during anti-Semitic Cuzist clashes here on Friday in connection with the trial of 9 Jews allegedly Communists, have been released by the authorities.

Renewed anti-Semitic attacks on Saturday were vigorously repulsed by the Jews, who chased their attackers to the Town Hall district. There a Jewish mass demonstration formed and uttering cries of “Long Live the King!” “Long Live Greater Roumania!” “Down with Cuza!” the Jewish demonstrants held the Cuzists in check.
