Dr. S. E. Soskin, vice-president of the World Union of Zionist Revisionists was placed on trial in absentia, last night, and found not guilty, by the Court of Honor of the World Zionist Organization.
Dr. Soskin was charged with a breach of Zionist discipline, in that he conducted independent political activities in behalf of the Revisionist Union, an infringement upon the prerogatives of the Zionist Executive.
Dr. Soskin last week refused to appear for trial, declaring that he no longer recognizes the validity of the decisions of the Zionist Court of Honor, holding that its suspension of the Revisionists as a separate Union was proof that it was a partisan body.
Dr. Gronemann, president of the Court, in announcing Dr. Soskin’s vindication, declared that the action against him was based on reports taken from the Revisionist press. These reports are unreliable and therefore do not constitute proof of guilt, Dr. Gronemann asserted.
Hermann Barth, Congress attorney, urged that Dr. Soskin be declared guilty since he did not contradict the reports published in the Revisionist press concerning his political activities.
