Questioned as to whether he considers the present state of prosperity in Palestine a temporary spell, Dr. Sokolow replied that in his opinion the Jewish prosperity in Palestine will continue indefinitely. I do not believe in the theory that seven meagre years will necessarily follow, he said. Everything depends on the spirit of the people. We should therefore keep up the spirit of confidence which is happily predominant, and not allow pessimistic predictions to gain ground.

Dr. Sokolow praised the achievements he found everywhere, particularly in Tel Aviv, in the Emek and in the Sharon. Every Jew in Palestine who has patience and diligence can count on success in his work here, Dr. Sokolow explained.
