Einstein’s 54th Birthday Occasion of Exhibition at Columbia U.

Dr. Maurice J. Karpf, president of the American Association of Schools of Social Work, and director of the School of Jewish Social Work was the honored guest of several hundred leaders of the Jewish community of Los Angeles at a luncheon given in his honor.

Professor Albert Einstein’s fifty-fourth birthday is marked today with an exhibition in Avery Hall, Columbia University, of the works, autographs, portraits, and letters of the scientist’s, whose studies provided the foundations for his discoveries.

Among the more interesting exhibits is an autographed lithograph of Professor Einstein, presented by him to Professor David E. Smith of the University, as well as a number of other rare photographs and prints. The exhibition will remain open till March 20.
