Baruch Schwartz, well-known Hebrew scholar and one of the oldest Zionist leaders in Russia, died here at the age of 72. He was the father of Shalom Schwartz, the director of the Palestine Telegraphic Agency.
Baruch Schwartz came to Palestine ten years ago and devoted much of his time here to literary work. The first volume of his book “My Life,” appeared recently. Two unpublished volumes have remained in manuscript.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
