Edward R. Brand has been appointed to the bench of the Municipal Court of Los Angeles by Governor Rolph, Jr.
Mr. Brand formerly served as a justice of the peace at Universal City and was for a time vacation judge on the municipal bench.
At a recent meeting of the Boro Park Zionist District, the following were elected to office for the ensuing year: Chairman, Rabbi Moses J. S. Abels; Vice-Chairmen: Dr. L Miller, Dr. George Jeshurun, I. Perlmutter: Secretary, Morris Grossman; Associate Secretary. Herman Benson; Recording Secretary, Albert J. Silverman; Treasurer, Joseph S. Rubin.
