Berlin city institutions must not be represented in the courts by Jewish lawyers, according to an order of the Nazi state commissar, Hafeman, made public yesterday. The order, issued in the name of the mayor of the city, declares that the list of approved attorneys compiled by the municipality officials for the guidance of city institutions, has been abolished. Any lawyer at all may now be retained, providing that he is “Aryan”.

The list, the order explains, was aimed to take out of the hands of Jewish attorneys all municipal law cases, and to put them in the hands of “Aryans”. This aim has now been accomplished.
