Morris Rothenberg, chairman of the American Administrative Committee of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, and Rabbi Alexander Lyon of Brooklyn were the principal speakers at the dinner opening the combined fund-raising effort of the Jewish Agency in Palestine and the Joint Distribution Committee, in Providence, at the Hotel Narragansett. Archibald Silverman, chairman of the campaign, presided as toastmaster.
