The publishers of the official Berlin telephone book have declined to accept advertisements from Jewish firms, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns.
“In view of the Jewish character of your concern, we have been instructed not to accept your advertisement,” a Jewish business house was informed by letter after it had sent advertising copy to the publishers of the directory.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
