“Indignant disapproval of the reported unjust discrimination against the Jews by certain of the German people, with the apparent approval of German officials” is expressed in a resolution adopted by the Ministerial Union of Baltimore, a copy of which has been sent to Cordell Hull, Secretary of State.
“We consider,” the resolution states, “all such un-christian prejudice as a relic of the barbarism of the ‘Dark Ages’ and ask that representatives of the Jewish race be accorded that condideration which their distinguished service to Germany so richly deserves.”
The letter to Mr. Hull expressed the hope “that the good offices of the United States Government be used to urge the German Government to cease their anti-Jewish propaganda.”
