Many Austrian Jews have already crossed the Austro-German borders following their expulsion from the Reich in a Nazi move in retaliation for the ouster of German Nazi leaders from Austria. Four hundred Austrian Jews who had lived in Germany were expected to reach the border tonight.

An official Government statement regarding the German action was expected here momentarily.

The Heimwehr press, which today reports it has confirmed earlier statements that the German Governments had embarked on a retaliatory program, stated today that the Nazi authorities have notified all German business houses to compile lists of all Austrian Jews in their employ.
