Honor Los Angeles Jews by Many Appointments

Karl Triest, president of the Hass, Baruch Company, wholesale grocers of this city, a director on the board of the Federation of Jewish Welfare Organizations, and prominent in Jewish communal affairs, was chosen one of twenty-nine of the nation’s most prominent food executives to join in the conference to be held at Absecon, New Jersey.

Mayor Frank L. Shaw reappointed Irving H. Hellman, former prominent banker of Los Angeles, to the post of pension commissioner. Mr. Hellman, who was appointed to the post by Mayor Cryer, has retained the same position for several years.

Jacob J. Lieberman. lawyer and president of the Los Angeles Zionist District, was appointed attorney for the Los Angeles office of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation.
