Charles A. Wolverton, member of the House of Representatives from the First District, New Jersey, announced today that he has signed the petition addressed to President Roosevelt “protesting in the name of the American people against the outrages perpetrated by Hitler on Jews resident in Germany.” The petition was sent to Congressman Wolverton by Dr. Hyman I. Goldstein, of this city, on behalf of the B’nai B’rith.

“I have forwarded your petition to the Mayor of our city,” Congressman Wolverton wrote to Dr. Goldstein, “with the statement that you would appreciate having the signatures of himself and his fellow commissioners.”
