A monograph prepared by Emanuel Berlatsky of the Jewish Centers Association staff shows that the Jewish population of Detroit is 71,268.

In 1923 the official figures showed that Detroit Jewry numbered 38,224. In 1927 the number jumped to 64,000. The Jewish population in 1929 was 67,661. In 1930 it was 71,660. This year’s figure therefore shows a loss of 392.
