Orthodox Synagogues’ Conference Today

The conference of the Orthodox Synagogues for the K’hilah K’doshah, New York, will take place today, 5 P. M., at the Bialystoker Center, 228 East Broadway. The conference was called for the purpose of concentrating Orthodox Jewish interest in the K’hilah.

Among the addresses scheduled to be delivered at the conference are: “What does the German situation mean to the inner life of the American Jew?” by the chairman of the conference, Dr. Jonas Simon. Dr. David S. Stern will discuss “A new deal in Jewish education.” Mendel Shapira will speak on “Problems of organization and propaganda.” Dr. S. Rubins is to speak on “The purity of Jewish family life.” Isaac Strahl’s topic is, “Can we stand a tax of $1,000,000 on kosher meat?” Irving Bunim will speak on “Unemployment and the day of rest.”
