One of the most ardent leaders of Jewry’s battle against Hitler here is Mr. Hannen Swaffer, well known throughout England as the “Man of Kent.” Mr. Swaffer can trace his English descent from the days before the arrival of William the Conqueror. He writes almost daily in The Herald in support of the Jews and he has criticized some leaders of Jewry who were not so enthusiastic as himself in their support of the anti-German boycott.
