### body which will not only concern itself with the German-Jewish question, or combatting anti-Semitism in Quebec but will cooperate with world Jewry for the betterment of the Jewish positions everywhere. The congress elections are scheduled to take place during the early part of October.

A faint ripple in Canadian Jewish life was caused by the elections to the Zionist Congress, held for the first time in the history of Canadian Zionism. The four mandates were evenly divided between the General Zionists and Labor.

The turnout at the polls was not as expected and has brought to the fore in the minds of Canadian Zionist leaders the necessity for more extensive Zionist propaganda. The chalutz movement is gaining ground and the Zionist bodies recently had much difficulty in distributing eight certificates among nearly a hundred applicants.
