Over a thousand delegates and visitors were present at the opening session of the twelfth annual convention of the Poale Zion Alliance of the United States and Canada, Zionist labor group.

Goldie Meyerson, representative of the Palestinian workers and principal speaker of the day, made a sharp atack on Rabbi Stephen S. Wise and other Zionists of his type who, she said, oppose the Laborite program in Palestine.

Others who addressed the convention were Jacob Lemberger, national youth leader; P. Gingold, Jewish National Workers Alliance, and A. Spiker, Poale Zion central committee.

According to the report of the secretary, J. Katzman, the organization has 89 branches in 41 cities. In the discussion that followed the report almost all the delegates participated. The convention is to continue in session until Monday night.
