The Erleberg synagogue near Hamburg, which has been in existence more than a hundred years, was permanently closed yesterday. It was stated that the shrinkage in the Jewish community made it impossible to keep the historic synagogue open.

The valuable antiquities housed in the synagogue were transferred to the care of the Berlin Jewish community.
