Lithuanian Jewish merchants are considerably worried by the steadily increasing policy of squeezing out Jews from many business fields, particularly the import and export trades.
The authorities, who are assisting this policy, today granted a concession to the Lithuanian Central Cooperatives for the entire import trade from England. The agreement involving the concession is said to be directly aimed against the Jewish merchants. The apparent idea involved is to isolate altogether Jews from the international trade.
