Goemboes Proclaims Equal Rights for All in Hungary

Equality rights for all citizens, including those of the Catholic, Protestant and Jewish faiths, was proclaimed as a cardinal principle of the republican government by Premier Julius Goemboes in an address at a mass meeting held in Trabrennplatz.

He went on record as opposing religious discrimination, and insisted that every Hungarian citizen is entitled to similar treatment.

The police confiscated the Hungarian Nazi organ Nemzeti Szocialista, on the charge that it attempted to inflame religious hatred.
