The All-German Sports Association has selected Jacob Orgler, member of the Hakoah, Jewish Sport Organization, to play on the team which is to participate in the 1936 World Olympiad that will be held here. In this way the association expects to sidestep the charge of racial discrimination. Orgler will be the sole Jewish member of the team.
Recently the group received warning from Olympics organizations that there would be no participation by the United States unless the racial discrimination against Jews should cease.
The All-German Golf Association has also revoked its decision to expel all Jews from membership. An announcement issued by the Golf Association states however that while Jews will be allowed to participate in German tournaments, they will not be permitted to represent Germany abroad.
