When asked about the possibility of the mandate for Palestine being taken over by Poland, Dr. Nahum Sokolow, president of the World Zionist Organization, stated at a press conference here that the British mandate for Palestine was for an unlimited period. And that moreover, even if Great Britain should relinquish the mandate, the League of Nations would have to decide the future of Palestine. In view of the many possibilities that might exist in the future, the question of Poland and the mandate was valueless at this time, the Jewish statesman declared.

Recently, a group of Polish Jews formed a society to have the Polish government take over the Palestine mandate, on the ground that Poland is not affected by the considerations of policy that affect the British government, and is therefore more fit to administer the mandate.
