Scenes resembling an attempted lynching occurred yesterday at Frankfurt, according to reports received here today, when an enraged mob of Nazis assembled before a department store and demanded that its manager, Kurt Aron, who is a Jew, should be handed over to it for summary punishment. Aron, according to leaders of the mob, "made an immoral proposal to an Aryan girl."

The police intervened, dispersed the mob and took Aron into "protective arrest" under the alleged charges.
