Miss Vertella S. Valentine, a Jewish Negress, will receive a diploma at commencement exercises to be held by the Institutional Synagogue Hebrew School next Sunday evening.
Speakers will include Congressman Isaac Siegel, president of the Synagogue; Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein, spiritual leader, and Rabbi Philip Goodman, principal of the school. The committee arranging the affair includes Abraham Bernstein, executive director; Dr. Zadok Kapner, Rabbi Goldman, Isidore Bookbinder, Morris Urieff, Ephraim Sherman, Myra Greenberg Hannah Goodman, Regina Feiner, Sophia Gerstein, Gertrude Goldman, Florence Zeltzer, Sara E. Teitz and Ruth Yellin.
