Pittsburgh Zionists Honor Abraham Goldberg

Abraham Goldberg, for fifteen years editor of Yiddishe Volk and well-known Yiddish writer and Zionist, received a tribute at a testimonial meeting tendered by the Zionists here on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday last night. The meeting was held in the local Y.M.H.A. and was followed by a reception held at the home of Oscar Robins, an active Zionist worker.

Speakers at the meeting who included Mrs. J. H. Marcus, Hadassah leader; Frances Goldberg, of the Junior Hadassah; Dr. M. B. Lichtenstein, head of the Zionist region here; Rabbi B. A. Lighter, Zionist district leader; Oscar Robins, of the American Jewish Congress; Nathan Savage, of the Hebrew Circle; B. Clair, representing Poale Zion groups; Max Amdur, of the Maccabees; I. Safyan, of the Jewish National Fund, joined in praising Mr. Goldberg for his service in the interest of Jewry.

In an address, the guest of honor pleaded for support of activity to settle Palestine.
