The Negro Arab whose automobile ran over and fatally injured Myles L. F. Elliot, government prosecutor, on December 17, was committed to stand trial for manslaughter today. Bail for the accused man was refused.

Mr. Elliot had prosecuted the Jerusalem Arab demonstrators. He was struck by an automobile on the same evening the Jerusalem Arab rioters were convicted by the court. He died in a hospital the following night.

Three English residents of Palestine who witnessed the accident testified that the car which struck Elliot was driven at a fast clip and had only one headlight. The driver failed to blow the horn, they said.
