This small southern town sets an example to larger cities in its unique Hebrew Commerical Alliance, a cooperative banking or ganization, with 74 members ub South Georgia. which has iust unique Hebrew Commercial Alliance, a cooperative banking organization, with 74 member in South Geogia, which has just celebrated its fifth anniversary, at headquarters here.

Chartered by the state to assist its members financially, the allance paid shareholde4rs a dividend of 6 per cent, and placed an equal amount to the surplus of the organization. The annual report revealed an increase in membership of 50 oer cent durig the past year, and no losses from 1930 to 1934, except for a deposit in one of the closed national banks.

Phil Halperin of Fitzgerald. is president; Abe Harris of Ocilla vice-president, and E. Kruger of Fitzgerald, secreatary-treasurer. A banquet at the leff Davis Hotel, attended by 160 people, was a feature of the celebratoin.
