Rabbi William M. Stern, of South Bend, In., has been elected religious leader of Temple Sinai in Oakalnd, it is announced by Lione Wachs, president of the congregation.
Rabbi Stern has officiated at Temple Sinai for the past few weeks as guest rabbi. Following his election to the rabbinate, he left for South Bend and will return to Oakland, April 1, to assume his new duties.
