The Nazis describe the papers of the Left.the Democratic and Socialist papers,as Jewish.It is worth noticing that,according to the” Handbook of the German Daily Press,” of 4,703 German political newspapers in 1932 only 378 were of the Left,603 were Catholic,1,456 called themselves “neutral”(the overwhelming majority of them followed the policy of the Rigtht) .The papers of the Right were mostly not friendly towards the News and had only in exceptional cases Jewish editors;the Catholic papers were entirely non-Jewish.Even the Majority of the Left papers had no Jewish editors.only ten of the eighty-five most prominent German newspapers had a Jewish editor-in-chief Among the editors of the German Socialist press,about 400 in all, there were only about twenty Jews.Only in Berlin and ,perhaps in Frankfurt,a great number of Jewish journalists were to be found In provincial towns there were few if any Jewish editors.
The whole conception of a Jewish press is absurd.It is only another instance of the general Nazi method of deacribing its opponents as “Jewish”
