A local campign to combat any move to boycott German goods in the United States was launched by the Friends of New Germany at a meeting held at the Cafe Fatherland.
The anti-boycott committee at the national headquarters of the organzation in New York City furnshed petition papers to be distributed in the local branch. The paper reads: “The undersigned American citizens hereby voice their protest against the boycott of German goods as an unconsititional and un-American movement.”
