Britain Transfers Iraq Services to Palestine

The transfer of British commercial and intelligence services in Iraq to Palestine was announced today in the House of Commons by Minister for Overseas Trade Edward Leslie Burgin. The Minister said that the British commercial secretary now stationed in Bagdad was being transferred to Haifa on April 1. After the transfer of the British commercial agent to Haifa, British consular officials in Iraq will handle British commercial and intelligence interests in that country, Minister Burgin declared.
