The Federal Supreme Court here today sentenced Solomon Katzenelenbogen, Jewish musical student, to serve twenty-two months in prison for having, in the words of the court, been “preparing for high treason.”
The accusation against Katzenelenbogen, who is without citizenship rights anywhere, rests on the fact that last March a list of fifteen names of men in the Reichswehr, the regular army, was found in his possession and it was said he intended to send them Socialist literature.
The parents of Katzenelenbogen who came originally from Wilno, left Germany after the war and settled in Palestine.
