The cornerstone of the new synagogue of Congregation Beth Hamedresh Hagodol was laid here today with special exercises.
Formerly the Congregation Rabbi Meyer Isserman, the synagogue, upon completion, will house a religious school, Rabbi Jacob Mendelson of this city will occupy the pulpit.
Alexander Avidan, Newark lawyer, was master of ceremonies at the exercises. Joseph Gross is president of the congregation.
