Former Governor Alex J. Groesbeck of Michigan has accepted the chairmanship of the pageant, “The Romance of a People,” to be presented here beginning April 16 at the Olympia. Henry Wineman is chairman of the board of governors of the Jewish Welfare Federation, which is sponsoring the showing of the pageant.
The Detroit News, the Detroit Times and the Detroit Free Press are cooperating in the staging of the pageant.
