The Jewish Commercial Club today submitted to President Mendieta of Cuba the name of Isidoro Barough as a member of the proposed Council of State.
Barough, a Sephardie Jew, is very active in Cuban Jewish life and is favorably regarded by non-Jews as well. In political circles his appointment to the post is held certain.
