Women Hold Annual Parley in Syracuse

The three-day annual convention of the New York State conference of the National Council of Jewish Women began here tonight at the Onondage Hotel. Several hundred delegates from various parts of the state are in attendance at the conference.

Among the speakers who will address the meeting are: Rabbi Morris S. Zazaron of the Baltimore Hebrew congregation; Leo W. Schwartz of New York City director of the New School for Jewish Education; Mrs. Mary G. Schonberg of New York City, executive secretary of the National Council; Mrs. Jules Hart of Yonkers. national chairman of field service for the council; Mrs. Rebecca M. Seligman of Warren Plains. N. C., member of the national board; Mrs. Abraham H. Arons of New York City, chairman of the membership and finance steerage committee, and Lisle Burroughs.

The subjects that the speakers are presenting for discussion include: “Living Together in Democracy,” “Minority Rights and Race Relationship” and “Anti-Semitism.” Mrs. Mortimer Brenner of Brooklyn, first vice president of the state council. is among the officers at the convention. The local section, acting as host to the delegates, is under the general chairmanship of Mrs. George Greenberg, president of the Syracuse Women.
