Apparently Willy Albin Schmidt, native of Germany, isn’t very enthusiastic about the Hitler government.

Schmidt, now a Binghamton resident, was applying for final naturalization papers in Supreme Court.

“Are you in sympathy with the form of government now in force in Germany?” he was asked by a Federal examiner.

Schmidt looked angry. His eyes snapped.

“Sir,” he answered, “that is one reason I have hastened my application to become an American citizen.”

He was granted citizenship.
