Because he criticized Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels. Minister of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment, Dr. Jacob Wassermann, nephew of Oscar Wassermann, German-Jewish banker, an employee of the Commercial Private Bank, was taken from his post at the bank and removed to the concentration camp at Oranienburg.
