Lodz has become a symbol of Polish renascence, a fact which proves Endek ideas are spreading among the Polish people, Gazeta Warszawska, notorious anti-Semitic paper, declared today in commenting on the multiple elections in that city.

The Endeks, National Democrat anti-Semitic paper, secured seventy-two seats on the municipal council, while the pro-government group elected only seven councilors. Sixteen Jews obtained seats on the council and the People’s Socialist party elected seven, of whom two are Jewish Socialists of Bund group.

Lodz was one of the Polish cities in which the Endeks and the National Radicals, an anti-Semitic group which split off from the Endeks, carried out bitter attacks on Jews over a period of several weeks.
