Traub Files Candidacy for Congressional Post

Sydney R. Traub, member of the City Council, has filed with the Secretary of State his certificate of candidacy for the Democratic nomination to the House of Representatives from the Fourth Congressional district. The primary will be held in the September. Mr. Traub formerly was an Assistant City Solicitor.

Lawrence Lockwood, president of the Associated Democratic Clubs of the Fifth District, has filed papers as a candidate for the State senate from the Fifth district.

Dr. Ivar Spector, Hebrew scholar, authority on Russia and University of Washington, instructor, is coauthor of a new Russian language elementary textbook to be used by all university students of Russian next fall, it was announced today. Dr. Spector, former Russian army soldier, is also author of a history of Russia.
