Filderman Asks Rumania Ban Acts of Terror

The Education Ministry was today asked to put its foot down on systematic terrorization of Jewish students, by Dr. William Filderman, president of the Union of Rumanian Jews, and Secretary Sarateanu.

Undergraduates of the Jewish faith have for some time been subjected to repeated humiliations at the hands of anti-Semitic groups. The faculties of jurisprudence and natural sciences have been the object or particularly brutal attacks. Many students have been prevented from attending classes regularly. Others were debarred from registering for examinations.

The Ministry has agreed to launch and inquiry and take immediate steps to restore order

Jewish students in the natural history division of the University of Bucharest yesterday submitted a petition to premier Tatarescu asking directed against them by Cuzist and Iron Guardist followers.
