A page from old-world Jewish life was enacted here yesterday when scores of children marched with men and women in a parade headed by the venerable Rabbi Baruch I Shapiro of Machzikay Hadath Synagogue marking the age-old celebration of the Torah.
The occasion was the dedication of a new Scroll of Law. Children of the Sephardic and Seattle Talmud Torahs, accompanied by their teachers, marched behind the Torah, which was placed under a silken canopy.
