Leaders of the Brest Litovsk Jewish community today formed a Stavsky defense committee under the joint presidency of Rabbis Izchok Zew and Solomon Wiczyck.
The committee has issued an appeal for funds to promote its activity in behalf of the young Revisionist, who recently was sentenced to die for the murder of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff in Palestine last year. The appeal described Stavsky as one who was known to be a righteous man and incapable of murder.
