The thirtieth anniversary of the death of Theodor Herzl, founder of Zionism, will be commemorated at the national convention of Young Judaea, to be held in Cincinnati July 6 to 9 inclusive. There will be a memorial service, sponsored by the Hadassah and other local organizations in association with the convention committee.
A feature of the program will be the virtual transfer of the Avondale Synagogue, of which Rabbi Louis Feinberg is spiritual leader, to the convention hall of the Netherland Plaza, for a religious service on Saturday morning, July 7. The synagogue itself will be closed.
The Netherland Plaza will be convention headquarters. David Polish, Cincinnati, national vice-president, is general chairman of the local convention committee.
