A return trip to Palestine has been awarded by the Jewish National Fund of America to Rabbi H. B. Walder, chairman of the Fund’s activity in Bronx District Thirty-nine, it was announced yesterday by Dr. Israel Goldstein, Fund president.
Rabbi Walder, who will sail aboard the Italian liner Roma on Saturday, received the award following a contest among Fund workers for subscriptions to the $100,000 fund to establish a colony in Palestine in honor of Menachem Ussishkin, the organization’s world president, on his seventieth birthday.
