Jewish communal, business and philanthropic leaders have called a meeting of Bronx Jewry tonight at Temple Sinai, 951 Stebbins avenue, to discuss plans for meeting the German Jewish problem. The meeting, which will be held under the auspices of the Bronx Division of the United Jewish Appeal, will be addressed by Rabbi Louis I. Newman of Temple Rodeph Sholom, Dr. Henry Moskowitz and Max J. Schneider, chairman of the Bronx Division in the campaign.
After weeks of preparation and organization, Jewish communal and fraternal bodies have devised a plan of unified action in behalf of the refugees. The plan, which includes a borough-wide movement to arouse the local Jewish community to its responsibility in the German Jewish crisis, will be outlined and voted upon at the meeting.
