Tension among the various Jewish factions in Palestine, which is daily becoming more serious, received added impetus today when posters were issued by labor organizations condemning the appeal issued by rabbis and other Jewish leaders affirming the innocence of Abraham Stavsky, convicted of the murder of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff.

The posters claim that the appeal was issued not for the purpose of saving Stavsky, but to “blur the truth concerning the murder and the murderers.”

At the same time unknown persons painted the walls of numerous Jerusalem houses with slogans in red paint reading “pity the nation whose priests protect murderers.”
